The price may vary depending on the factors while the cost may differ from a surrogate working independently from someone who is working for a surrogacy agency. However, the common range of prices usually ranges from at least $5,000 to a maximum of $100,000. The cost of undergoing cost may vary depending on the steps you are taking from finding the surrogate mother to the labor period.

 Application Fees – The first thing to do is to locate an agency or a private individual who is willing to become a surrogate mother for your child. For surrogate mothers who work for a private agency, there are application costs which ranges from $400 – $1000 that should paid in advance. This includes the contract fees and base fees of the surrogate which ranges from $25,000 to $40,000 depending on the contract fees of the surrogates.

 Agency Fees – Surrogate mothers under an agency could also require Agency Fees that can be as much as $20,000 in the average. This fee is valid for surrogate mothers who are working under an agency. The fees will cover the interviews and screening of the possible surrogate mothers, and the management of the process.

 Initial Fees – After signing the contract, the initial fees will cover primary fees ranging from $500 to $1,500; such as medical transactions, which include the medical and psychological evaluation and the embryo transfer and artificial insemination, and other expenses with receipt, which includes travel expenses, food, and childcare.

 Administrative Expenses – In finding the right surrogate mother for the job, administrative expenses are needed. If one surrogate does not pass the psychological testing, you have to select someone else and undergo the medical process again. These administrative expenses average about $4,000 – $5,000.

 Labor and Miscellaneous Fees – It covers the fees concerned with the labor procedure that is recommended for the surrogate mother. This also includes the miscellaneous benefits of the surrogate mother. These are additional expenses during the process; it includes the monthly allowance of the surrogate mother, her vitamins and necessary medicines, insurance coverage, housekeeping, and the living cost of the surrogate mother for the whole process which can range from $750 to $2,000.

 Legalization Expenses – This covers the cost of legalization procedures, such as the fee of the lawyer who will handle all of the legal proceedings and do the paper works necessary for the surrogacy, the average amount for legal fees is $15,000.

 It may seem that the surrogate mother cost includes a lot of fees and additional expenses that may be quite high; but as soon as the couple sees their newborn, they will appreciate what they have undergone and oversee all of the fees.
